    The Case for Wind

Wind power, renewable energy, climate change, sustainable business practices — there are many hot topics surrounding our business, and it’s time we voiced our opinion.

    The Case for Wind

    In 10 blade points

The cost of wind energy has reduced by ten per cent every decade, since we began manufacturing over forty years ago and we are focused on one goal - ensuring that we achieve cost parity with all forms of energy: renewables; oil and gas; nuclear for example - without subsidy and in the most sustainable way possible.  We are already at this crucial point in certain wind markets with certain products and, together with or customers and suppliers, we are innovating constantly to drive the costs down further.  This will ultimately serve the whole global economy but ultimately, it represents a chance to light up the world for the 1.3 billion people on earth who presently have no access to clean, affordable electricity. We believe that as we succeed, we will quite literally, change their world for the better.

Our Blade Points are designed to help you easily digest and present the case for wind.  We also tell you something about our company and our strategy and invite you to join our campaign for a cleaner world.  We do this every day as part of our work, driving forward to secure a larger share of the global renewable energy market.  LM Wind Power is pragmatic about the global energy challenge - we recognize that all forms of energy generation have a role to play in meeting growing demand - but plainly we believe wind has the strongest case of all as ultimately it is the cleanest; most readily available source of electricity supply with the least long-term impact on the environment. Ultimately, wind is a key driver in the battle to reduce CO2 emissions and potentially mitigate the consequences of global climate change.
